Challenge

Bluee Swimwear (founded by super influencer Meggan Grubb) approached us to develop their Beach-to-Bar collection...... Drop 1 and Drop 2..... with every style planned in three colourways.

With multiple people involved and a strong audience already eagerly awaiting new pieces, the project required clear communication, fast development and consistent technical support from day one.

The collection arrived with early toiles and sketches that needed refining, alongside a brief that evolved throughout the development process. Tight timelines, late-stage design changes and shifting availability for fittings meant we needed to stay flexible and solution-focused at every stage to keep the collection moving forward.

The
Solution

We began with a full development day, fitting the toiles on both a professional model and Meggan to capture accurate measurements and refine each silhouette. These sessions formed the basis of the initial size chart and the detailed fit notes used to guide the entire project.

From there, we delivered a complete development and production pathway, including:

Fabric & Trim Selection

We sourced and finalised all fabrics, trims, heat seals and printed labels for approval.

Corrected CADs & Full Tech Packs

The original CADs needed restructuring, so our design team added stitch details, construction lines and accurate proportions before building comprehensive tech packs for every style.

Factory Preparation & Proto Development

We provided the factory with:

Approved tech packs
Updated sketches
The client's original samples for visual reference
Fabric and trim swatches

A joint call with the factory ensured alignment before pattern creation began.

Prototypes were produced, reviewed and refined across several fit rounds, with some reviews completed remotely when the founders weren’t available.

Bulk Management & Drop Delivery

Bulk fabrics and trims were ordered, approved and delivered to the factory.

Drop 1 went into production and was delivered successfully, with a full AQL check completed to maintain quality.

As the brief evolved, some styles from Drop 2 were removed due to changes in fit preferences or delayed feedback, and timelines had to be adjusted accordingly.

Throughout, we continued to support the team, updating tech packs, advising on feasibility and maintaining quality consistency.

Despite the challenges of shifting timelines and evolving style directions, the finished collection was beautifully received by customers who praised the fit and quality of the pieces! Phew....
